Beth Fleenor – Director and Young Fives Teacher
Beth has a M.A. in Speech / Language Pathology from the University of Illinois and a B.S. in Audiology and Speech Science from Purdue University. She has been with St. Michael’s School since 1999, beginning as a classroom assistant until 2003, then transitioning to the Young Fives in 2004. She became director in 2010.
Young Fives Teacher
Jennifer has been teaching P.E. at St. Michael’s for seven years and Spanish for three years. She graduated from Transylvania University with an Elementary Education major and a Spanish minor. She has a Masters in Education from Georgetown College. She taught Kindergarten (both full-day and half-day) for six years before staying at home with her children. This year, 2020 she has seamlessly transitioned back into the classroom teaching one of our Young 5’s programs.
Susan graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1986 with a Major in Accounting. She moved to Cincinnati after graduation where she lived for ten years before coming to Lexington in 1996. She has three children and has worked at St. Michael’s as an assistant since 2006, then transitioned into a 4-year-old teacher in 2019.
Kim graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor in Science, Elementary Education in 2008. She taught 4th and 5th grade at Ashland Elementary School in Fayette County. In 2014, Kim became a stay-at-home mom and all three of her children attended St. Michael's. When her youngest started at St. Michael's, Kim became the assistant in one of our 4 Year Old classes. She is now a lead teacher of the 4 Year Olds.
Tamera Dotson Miller
4 & 5 Day – 3-Year-Olds Teacher
Tamera is a certified K-8th grade teacher and went to EKU for undergrad and received her Masters Degree from Georgetown College. She taught Kindergarten and Early Start with Fayette Co. Public Schools from 1989-1996. Her 3 children, former students of St. Michael’s, are now in college. She has been a 3 year old teacher with St. Michael’s since 2011.
Kelli has a B.A. in education from the University of Kentucky and an M.A. in Elementary Education from Georgetown College. She taught Elementary School in Fayette Co. Public Schools for ten years before deciding to stay at home with her three children, all graduates of St. Michael’s School. She has been with St. Michael’s since 2009.
Sarah graduated from University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Psychology in 2003. She received her M.Ed in Early Childhood Education from Towson University in 2006. Sarah started at Saint Michael’s School as as substitute teacher in 2014 and then became the three day a week floater in 2016. January 2018 she was hired as the Art Teacher. Previously, Sarah worked as Service Coordinator for Bluegrass First Steps. Sarah has two children, both attended Saint Michael’s School for preschool.
Barbara Ann Rockefeller
Aide - Mrs. Wallace’s 4-Year-Olds class
Barbara Ann has an A.A.S. in Business Administration SUNY Cobleskill and is a graduate of Katherine Gibbs School. She has a varied work experiences including Executive Assistant, Office Manager, Flight Attendant, and Volunteer. She has been with St. Michael’s since 2014.
Aide - Mrs. Thompson’s 3-Year-Olds class
Marianne has a B.A. in American Studies from Hollins University and one year of post-baccalaureate courses in Elementary Education from Georgetown College. She has many years of experience as an instructional assistant and school volunteer. She has been with St. Michael’s since 2011.
